Generation 7 is represented by Flint, the alien offshoot, Son of Emery Gemstone and potential Black Sheep. Fayalite and Florite, twin oldest daughters of Emerald, and Florencite 3rd born daughter and Emerald's current expected baby.
Another 25 elixir bottles have been collected and disposed of, this makes set #8. With River's Dream Dates the elixir bottles add up fast!
Fay is trying for a pool scholarship.
Flora wants a dancing scholarship.
Emerald has finished her second novel.
The novel sold well enough. I don't think she was able to put her best effort into it, she spent a lot of time running to throw up and her comfort levels seem to be permanently orange.
Poor Florence! Crystal's ghost scared her while she was harvesting the apple trees.
I don't think Flint should be allowed to make candy while in werewolf mode! LOL, he is eating almost all of it! He is still gaining cooking skills so I guess it doesn't hurt.
River starts Florence on the circuit training. Of course she doesn't like the surgical dummy any more than most children do.
Flint was encouraged to give up the candy machine and River moved Florence's circuit training to the candy machine. It appears that Florence likes this station better!
River had to go to work, so Flint and Florence went to work on the garden...bad choice for Flint, Diamond jumped out and scared him...well, he really didn't mind other than the status drop.
Emerald is in labor! Flint arrives first, but the whole family comes running to help in typical Sim fashion... levitate and be shocked while Emerald screams at the top of her lungs!
Welcome the long awaited son, Feldspar Gemstone. River is delighted to have a son and Flint cheers for his cousin.
The house is a bit crowded and Emerald has found the perfect victim...er...candidate to buy Sugar. Homer Gemstone, a "D" generation spouse.
Emerald is always glad to earn money, but seems a bit sorry to accept the money for Sugar.
But it's too late to change her mind and Homer is happy with his new pet.
You will be missed Sugar! Fully trained Family Breed Gen 3 if I remember correctly, became Pet Star and sold for over $2,000.
Toffee heads off for his first day of work as Service Pet.
Time for another Headmaster visit. Florencite needs to get into private school and Flint needs to be re-enrolled, since his death and resurrection put him back into public school.
The headmaster is delighted with Florence's piano playing.
Fay had cooked a simple, but delicious spaghetti dinner.
The teamwork did the trick, with a score of 95/90. Flint and Florence are in private school!
Emerald is still feeling some stress and wants to get away for a while. She calls the Real Estate office and finds a nice vacation home in the Twikki Islands for sale. She buys it right away then decides to book a vacation for just herself and River.
It seems strange to be packing summer clothes when there is snow on the ground, but the travel agent assured her that the weather was summery in the Twikki Islands. The airport shuttle arrived to take Emerald and River to their flight.
Here is the vacation house that Emerald bought. It's called Brickstone Chateau. She liked the name and thought it was appropriate for the Gemstone family!
From the Diary of Emerald Gemstone:
"The first thing that River and I did was to sit on our private beach and enjoy the silence. I made a mental note to try painting the view someday. It was so very peaceful, we both really need this vacation."
"We had a welcome wagon visit and he showed us the local gesture! It looked so silly at first, but I catch myself doing it all the time now! It seems to be how the islanders say just about anything! Talk about multitasking!"
"After our visitor left I decided to lay out in the sun. I can't come back from an island vacation without a bit of a tan can I?"
"River decided to comb the beach for shells, all he found was a grumpy crab! I tried not to laugh, but it looked so funny clamped onto his finger! Poor guy had a sore finger for days!"
"I didn't get away unscathed though, I stayed in the sun just a little too long and got sunburned! At least River was nicer than I was and didn't laugh at me."
"I took a quick swim and that cooled me off a little, but the burn still stung for a while."
"River and I changed into our summer clothes and went exploring. The food was delicious, I'm so glad we came here!"
"When I saw the massage table I just HAD to try the hot stone massage! It felt pretty good, probably would have felt better without the sunburn but that couldn't be helped."
"On another one of our explorations I had a chat with the tour guide. He was very helpful and we went on a glass bottomed boat that turned into an adventure. Thank goodness for chewing gum!"
"He also told me to make an offering at the monkey ruins, nothing happened though."
"River and I are working on his desire for Dream Dates. We turn every outing into a date and it's working pretty well! He just loves it when I goose him!"
I found a strange map while digging in the yard this morning. It led to a mysterious hut where this Witch Doctor guy was living. A lot of his stuff was broken and he didn't know what to fix first! I offered mine and River's help to fix everything.
"It took most of the day to get everything fixed."
"I'm glad I had River's help, that outing didn't end up being a Dream Date for him."
"I got a nice reward from the Witch Doctor though. It's a Voodoo Doll. It's kind of creepy, probably just a tourist trinket, but I will be careful where I leave it."
"I'm feeling much better now that the sunburn is gone, I couldn't help flirting a little shamelessly with River this afternoon! We had just bought a car to get around the island a bit quicker...at least that is the excuse that River gave me for buying it. I think he has other ideas in mind...nothing like a little woohoo in the car at the end of a date to make it dreamy, lol!"
"Of course I bought myself a few pieces of jewelry, as souvenirs! Can't go to the islands and not return with a little something to show off!"
"River can be so romantic! I never really kept count of our dates but at the end of one Dream Date he announced that it was the 50th and his mood seemed to skyrocket! I think I know how he felt, I felt the same way when I made my first $100,000! I don't think he is done wishing for Dream Dates though and I have to admit they are fun! We will have as many more as we possibly can!"
"As wonderful as this trip has been I will be glad to get back home! I miss the children and I'm ready to get back to work on the family business, though I think some changes need to be made...but I will worry about that later, after we get home and settle back in!"

Everything had gone smoothly enough while Emerald and River enjoyed their vacation. Servo kept the house tidy and supervised the children. Fay got a little lazy on the studying and spent a lot of time playing with the cat and playing games on the computer.
Flora did a little better at sticking to her study routine and managed to max her mechanical skills.
Florence maxed her creativity, she loves playing the piano and can be found there if she isn't directed to study something else.
The first thing Emerald did when she got home was to check on baby Feldspar. Servo had taken excellent care of him, but Emerald was glad to be back to take care of him herself. She had realized during her vacation that her drive to earn money had caused her to miss the precious early years of her daughters and she didn't want to miss Feldspar's.
Toffee is a much faster learner than his father was! He is in good shape for a promotion soon.
It's time for Fay and Flora to get jobs. Flora got a job as a Piano Tuner and Fay got a job as a Mailroom Tech.
Emerald called a family meeting and announced that the family would go on a vacation together once Feldspar was old enough to go along. In the meantime she expected everyone to maintain their high grades and good work performance at their jobs or they wouldn't be going along. Everyone was excited at the thought of a family vacation and promised to work hard. Fay even bet Flora that she wouldn't max her cooking skills before the vacation!
Emerald had to get some work done. She headed off to the toy store.
Business was still hopping with the toys and electronics all equally selling well!
Even my simself is shopping there! He he, figures she would be considering an alarm clock, I guess my husband's simself is just as hard to wake in the morning as he is in RL. Two alarms and he still gets a late start most mornings!
Flint is helping Florence work on her body skills but she is having a tough time on the obstacle course. OUCH!
Florence needed a break from the skilling and went to take a bubble bath, Flint wandered out to the garden as he usually does. Ron's ghost caught him just as he started to tend the plants.
He peed himself and slept on the ground most of the night, poor guy!

Emerald is ready to put her changes into motion now. The home business is making it difficult to enjoy being at home or just spend time with the family. The electronics store is nearly a Rank 10 so it will become the new Family Business and the flower shop will be moved to a community lot. The legacy house will also be rebuilt a little more compact since there is no need for the large business space anymore.
*Hopefully these changes will make the lot run smoother, the business running almost constantly puts a massive lag on the lot and the house is just too large.*
Here is the new house, built on the same lot. The old house was completely dismantled and there were only 4 stuck tiles so that wasn't too bad! The new house has a full basement, two car garage, 5 bedrooms - one is a nursery, 3 bathrooms, living room, office, and eat-in kitchen with a breakfast bar. The landscaping wasn't changed much other than to account for the changes to the front entrance and garage.
Flora is an overachiever!
Florence has a gold gardening badge!
Emerald wants to get back to fishing, but even though it's spring, the pond hasn't thawed yet.
A birthday cake!
It's Feldspar's birthday! There are a couple of guests since Fay had brought a friend home from school and the gardener had stayed to hangout after work.
Feldspar went right to the gardener and asked for attention! She spent most of the evening holding him. It did finally get late enough that she thought she should leave.
Fay is an overachiever too!
She brings a friend home from school just about everyday! This time it's a townie teen named Franklin.
He is quite cute! And surprisingly good at pool, Fay wasn't able to hustle him!
That didn't stop her from getting her first kiss!
The pond has thawed! Emerald doesn't care about the rain, she wants to get her fishing badges!
Another birthday! It's Florencite's turn!
Cute! She rolled Romance. Her LTW is to woohoo 20 Sims. Her turn ons are hard worker and blond hair. She is turned off by cologne.
She makes some changes to her outfit and adds a bit of makeup.
Here is the new flower shop! Emerald had all the home business stock moved over to the new building.
Right away the business is good! The flower shop is Rank 3 by the end of the first day!
Time goes so fast and it's Feldspar's birthday once again! Thanks to a combination of Servo and Emerald he has learned all of his toddler skills.
He grew up Platinum! Nice outfit too!
Emerald immediately sets up the family vacation, choosing a Far East location and a place called Jade's Exclusive Villas.
Poor Toffee can't go on the vacation so a pet sitter was called to care for him.
The airport shuttle picks them up and off they go!
The villas are nice and the family rents the 2 largest ones. Servo won't need a bed. 
Emerald does the checking in after selecting the rooms.
A local shows Servo the local gesture.
It started to rain right away so they booked a tour that didn't end too well. Everyone came back itching from Poison Ivy.
Once they were treated with calamine lotion and could control their itchiness, they took a Tai Chi class in front of the hotel. The class got pretty large, not sure if it was a good idea to do Tai Chi in the street, but there didn't seem to be much traffic.
On a visit to Lucky Shrine Park the girls encountered a Ninja who was teleporting about the lot. He would teach them if they answered the question correctly. Unfortunately Fay's answer was wrong and he teleported off the lot.
The family enjoyed the exotic cuisine.
They all learned how to play Mahjong too.
Emerald decided to buy kimonos for the whole family.
Feldspar didn't want a kimono though and pointed out a dragon costume that he wanted instead! He put it on immediately.
Everyone changed into their kimonos and Fay laughed at her little brother's choice of costume.
River, Fay and Flora went on a walk by themselves and found a secret Pagoda.
They greeted the Wise Old Man respectfully.
River showed that he had mastered Tai Chi.
Then he and the girls were told the Dragon Legend.
Later River gave Emerald the map to the Pagoda and she took Servo, Flint, Feldspar and Florence to hear the Dragon Legend too.
Ahhh! Starting the morning with a soak in the hot springs. The family relaxes while Servo finishes recharging.
Flora met a boy that she thought was cute. She bowed to him and he wanted to take her picture.
He took a really nice picture.
Emerald found a massage parlor and asked to be taught acupressure.
Emerald went first, then everyone took turns learning.
Flint is easily located near the food stand! He does his usual dash for food after his nightly transformations.
Florence answered the Ninja's question correctly! She is taught how to teleport.
She spends the rest of the evening teleporting around the lot while waiting for her turn to learn acupressure.
Emerald and the girls enjoy a tea ceremony while Flint and River take their turns learning massage.
On the last night of their stay each of them take turns making a wish at the shrine.
Both Emerald and River got Bee swarms.
Oooh, Servo got a green glow!
And a shower of coins! Ouch!!
Fay got a money shower too!
Flora and Florence both got the promise of a good chance card.
Emerald worked on her fishing badge for a while.
Time to sign out and head home. River signs and pays the bill.
Then the family piles into the shuttle and they are on their way home.
Once they reach home it's time for Flint, Flora and Fay to head for Uni.
Fay is raring to go!
She gives Florence a hug goodbye.
Florence has a little while to wait before she can leave for Uni! River assures her it will go quickly.
Florence wishes for Romance the next morning.
Benjamin fell out of the sky and gave her her first kiss! This surprised me big time seeing as he is adult while she is still teen. Needless to say he was encouraged to leave quickly.
Time for Florence to find a job. She found a job as a Teacher's Aide.
The toy store is at Rank 10! It's the official Family Business now.
At least the customers are happy!
There are more businesses to check on so Emerald moves on to the Flower shop.
Hey it's the exterminator, he is kind of cute. Emerald takes the time to make friends with him. If her heir doesn't return from Uni with a prospective husband then she can introduce a few choices.
At the bakery Emerald spots a cute firefighter shopping for pies. She adds him to the list of possible son-in-laws.
Of course Emerald's time isn't all work! She and River continue their daily Dream Dates and sometimes manage a few in one day. Their current count is around 70 or so.
Florence got her promised chance card and was promoted to Substitute Teacher. She is an overachiever.
More Dream Dating.
Toffee needs to learn a few more tricks, so Emerald goes on a training craze for a few days all her spare time is spent training Toffee. She starts with teaching him how to use the toilet, then teaches him to sit and stay.
It isn't all work and training though, Toffee gets plenty of play time too!
Emerald has received an e-mail from Flora, Fay and Flint!
"Hi Mom, I thought it would be a good idea to let you know how we are doing here at Academy Le Tour."
"We are in the same dorm you started out in, it's ok I guess. We had a smooth trip here and got settled in our dorm rooms first thing."
"The cafeteria is nice! Though I get the impression that the cook isn't very inventive about meal variety. At least I don't have to cook, Fay won that bet you know, I still haven't maxed my cooking skills!"
"Our first exploration of the campus took us to the clothing boutique. We all wanted to change out of the hand-me-downs we were wearing."
"Can you believe that our scholarship money allowed us to buy clothing? I'm not complaining of course but I was surprised. We should thank Flint, he got the most scholarships out of the 3 of us!"
"Lookin good now! Casual, comfortable and I think we each got something to suit us well!
"Next we registered our majors, Yeah it's a bit early, but we have time to change them if we want. I just don't want to aimlessly float through school until I'm forced to pick a major. I chose Philosophy, while Flint and Fay chose Literature.
"Fay is having fun I guess. She is kissing anything that walks by!! I can't say that I have been perfectly behaved, but I think she is going a bit too far!"
Flint is doing well and enjoys the convenience of the cafeteria after his transformations.
"We have a lot of dorm mates and it gets a bit wild sometimes. Kicky bag contests and the guys all get together to watch football! Someone pranks the sprinkler system just about every day."
The rec room is the hangout spot most of the time, those that want a quieter diversion get together around the dart board.
"Don't worry Mom, it isn't all fun and games! We know that this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance and we have group study whenever possible."
"Hmmm, I was right about the cook, he has served nothing but pancakes for breakfast all semester! I would kill for an omelet!"
"I maxed my Logic skill the other day! Some of the dormies looked at me strangely for playing by myself, but if I wait for someone to play with me, I wouldn't play at all! Gotta go to class now, love you Mom, give everyone hugs for me!"
"Hi Mom! Fay here! I just wanted to say hi and let you know how I'm doing! I don't think Flora was being fair saying I kiss every guy who walks by me! I'm a bit more discriminating than that!"
"Just the other day I went to the gym for a bit of exercise! That cafeteria is going to ruin my figure!"
"I had a great workout on the treadmill before anyone else got there!"
"I met this strangely dressed girl there, who comes to exercise in slacks and a blazer?
"I earned some money being a personal trainer for a couple of hours."
"I met this really cute guy afterwards and we talked for a while!"
"Too, bad he's gay! He didn't actually say so, but c'mon all he talked about was fashion and make up! I didn't kiss him!"
"Another time I went to the student lounge, Aunt Elestial was there! She is like some sort of professional student isn't she? She introduced me to a guy there."
"He was kind of cute in a puppy dog sort of way, and we talked for a while, but I didn't kiss him either!"
"He did get a little fresh and tickled me, but that was just more of his puppy dog charm I think. It didn't mean anything!"
"Anyway, don't worry about me Mom! Flora likes to exaggerate, I will be careful and take care of myself ok?"
"Hi Aunty Em! LOL! I know you hate it when I call you that, but I have seen you secretly smile too! Anyway, now that Fay and Flora have chattered away at you, I get my turn. I am doing fine and really enjoy my classes. Fay calls me a nerd, but I can't help it I love to learn new things!"
"Of course some of the dormies are rude about my...differences, but that is their loss I think. I can't let it bother me because there isn't anything that can be done to change the way I am now. I do want to thank you for helping me regain some of my neatness and charisma skills. It helps, or at least I hope it does!"
"Poor Fay has a fan! Her name is Elizabeth Thayer! She has this sort of psycho cheerleader personality and tells anyone who she can corner that her grandmother was Meadow Thayer, as if we are all supposed to be impressed! Whoever she was? Was she some sort of celebrity? I don't really care, but Fay just wants her to disappear!
"I am glad there is a cafeteria here! You know that I will eat just about anything once I transform each night, but freshly cooked food is nice. Speaking of food, I'm getting quite hungry! Talk to you later! Tell everyone hi for me!"
Florence makes some last minute attempts to earn scholarships, she just managed to up her cleaning enough for that scholarship. Now for logic...
Yikes! Just before sunrise, Florence gets abducted by aliens!
She is tossed out of the ship a few hours later! She missed school, but her grades were high enough that one day shouldn't matter!
It's finally time for Florence to join her cousin and sisters at Uni. They will be taking their semester finals soon and she will join them at the start of the next semester!
With a quick wave she is off to Uni.
It's River's birthday! Normally Emerald would have her birthday first, but she drank Flint's cowplant elixir so she has 5 days before her birthday.
And River ages gracefully enough. That outfit kind of suits him! He has been on 83 Dream Dates at this point. Hopefully he can make it to 100!
There is another e-mail from Fay.
"Mom! You will never believe what happened to me the other day!"
"This huge stretch limo pulled up in front of the dorm!"
"The lady that got out of the limo came and did this silly chicken dance at me! I didn't know what it was all about so I just shrugged. She seemed angry after that!"
"She put me in handcuffs and marched me out to the limo...

"Oh, yeah I almost forgot to tell you! Flora and Flint joined the Gemstone Greek House yesterday."
"Flora came up with the idea to tell them the Dragon Legend! It worked like a charm!"
"I had my turn after them. Easy as pie! Of course it helped that we already knew Aunt Elestial!"
"Ug! Our finals were today! They were just awful! I managed to get an A+, but that is probably due to the fact that I went on a couple of dates with my professor, and not my test score. Sorry Mom, I tried to study, but it's sooooo boooring! Maybe it will be easier once we are at the Greek house with less distraction?"
"I also wanted to let you know that Florence arrived safely this afternoon! She looks great and registered in Literature, just like Flint and I!"
"After hearing that we were already members of the family Greek house she called them up to join right away!"
"I told her the secret of the Dragon Legend and it worked like a charm for her too! We are all moving to the Greek House tonight. No sense in hanging around here since we are all members!"
"Oh gotta go, the taxi is here! I will write again soon and so will the others! Take care and love you Mom!"
